🏰 The Domaine: Located in the heart of the Cheverny designation, Domaine Maison Stretches extends over 73 hectares with 60% of white vines (Sauvignon, Chardonnay), and 40% red vines (Pinot noir, Gamay). The vines are managed with maximum respect of the terroirs and the environment with only one goal, get the best grape by controlling yield, leaf stripping, high trellising height. The plots are perfectly exposed. They benefit from the best weather conditions thanks to their geographical location between two rivers : the Loire and the Cher.
🤓: Cheverny is a French wine region in the Loire Valley that makes dry white wines, light red wines and rosé wines. The area received AOVDQS (Appellation d'Origine Vin Délimité de Qualité Supérieure) status in 1973, and then AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) on 26 March 1993 when new regulatory laws were passed. The wine region is spread over 532 hectares, within 24 communes of the Loir-et-Cher department. The red wines are composed of Gamay grapes, at a proportion of 40%–65%, blended with Pinot noir grapes. Cabernet Franc and Côt can be used to make up to 15% of the wine.
🍷: Wines of Cheverny and Domaine Maison are renowned for their particular taste thanks to the clay-limestone and lighter gravely soils. The Domaine Maison produces delicate, subtle, varied and aromatic wines. In 2020, Domaine Maison obtained HVE 3 certifications.
